Calendar users in Chile's Aysén region need to update the time zone for all events taking place after 2025-04-05 which are impacted by the new DST rules. On 2025-03-20, Chile's Aysén region adopted a new time zone (IANA: "America/Coyhaique”). This time zone will diverge from the continental Chile time zone “Chile Time” (IANA: “America/Santiago”) after 2025-04-05, by staying at UTC-03. Users in, or operating in, the Aysén region will be impacted: their events taking place after 2025-04-05 will be, by default, in the Chile time zone and will diverge by one hour compared to the new Aysén region local time. Impacted users are recommended to take 2 actions as soon as possible: * Go to Calendar Settings > General > Time zone and set their Primary time zone to “Punta Arenas time” (IANA: "America/Punta_Arenas”). * Update all their events taking place after 2025-04-05 in this region to the “Punta Arenas time”. Additionally, we are working on introducing a new time zone for the Aysén region. We will post a communication update when it will be available in Calendar. We will provide an update by Friday, 2025-04-04 13:00 US/Pacific with current details. If impacted users don’t take action, after 2025-04-05 their calendar will: * Show the wrong time with the “Now” red line on Calendar Web; * Display all events shifted by one hour; * Create new events in the wrong time zone.
